Plum tuckered Out!

Today was that time of the month for "Paying Bills" and "Food Shopping" < We try to get an early start, and sometimes I prefer to do it later in the month...but this month there will be crowds and I don't like being in the middle of them...
I made my list of things I needed , and bought more than what was on my list :o(
Sometimes you forget you didn't put this or that on the list and figure you may as well get it now than later....I like to have a heavy breakfast before I shop, if I don't I buy too much! Well that toast and coffee didn't stop the roll :o( There were a few items out of stock, which only meant I had to go to a second store..first Sam's Club , then Wal-mart's (same people, really_....anyway....I'm sure to have forgotten something....(I always do), I did get a couple boxes of Cake mix :o)
That's about it for what's happening at Gingerbread's house for today! I need some hot chocolate (told you I'd forget something.) ugh!

  1. AAK! Paying bills and food shopping all on the same day takes strength. It hurts that it takes so much longer to earn it than to spend it. :>} Good for you for getting it done.

  3. Hi Ginny,
The baking season is upon us! I have to muster up enough energy and ideas and get busy getting some of it done. I like to do a little baking and candy making for small gifts, or 'Happies'. I don't like waiting until the last minute because there is so much going on at that time.

  4. Boy it sure spends fast these days! Groceries are so high. I don't know how we all do it. I've got to get better with the gardening thing and stop growing so many weeds.

  5. Ladydi, I usually write out the bills at night and mail in the Am,that makes me feel Lighter :o), then I shop....
Dorothy, sometimes I give jar's of preserves and that seems to make some happy...or ship out frozen quart packages of collards ready to cook, that pleases some even more.
Deborah, we all get a lot of practice thru the years, and it pays off, that's how we all do it :o) Ginny

  6. I always end up buying more groceries than what is on my list. I guess going up and down the aisles jars my memory of other things we are needing. Glad you got your chores done. I have to get my bills paid today! HA! :D

  7. Daisy, I feel better once I know the bills are paid! :o)
There isn't much left since we are both retired, but these days to be able to pay the bills (on time) is a blessing....Ginny
