I've had a really hard time getting done with this Pear project! I'm still working  hard to get it done..and I'm greedy when it comes to making a nice cobbler with them..I dried some  and Cecil loves them ..guess I have to keep hi happy since he did help with the peeling...some went into the freezer, either way I need a good quart to make a small cobbler for Cecil and I ( I should say Cecil he always goes back for seconds, I take a good dip the first time :o). I love knowing what's in my jars anyway...Now here's a new batch to put away...Half are promised :o)  to others. That's a lot of work and a lot of joy!
I need more jars, and or freezer space ...Thank Goodness  i cleaned out that closet..Now I've got more room:o) for filled jars..it looks
pretty neat..I'll show a picture later...

  6. Melodye, it seems I'm a glutton for punishment :o)..I should just say I enjoy doing it, I imagine that I'm saving the world from hunger if I continue the process of putting up food. My girls could care less, I have one that would use a glue gun to a fix a button if the cleaner was closed to sew in on for her :o(...With all she saw me doing with a needle..oh well, some just don't get or want it .Ginny

  7. Those canned pears look so pretty all lined up there, Ginny. You'll be enjoying those for sure later. They are well worth your hard work for a nice pear cobbler. :)

  8. I've never made cobbler out of pears before - what a good idea! I did try it with plums once when a neighbor had lots of plums to share. I had to laugh about the button and the glue gun! Does you studio have room for one more?
