Surprise Surprise! |
There was no top to it ,but I thought surely I'd find a top to fit it sooner or later..in the meantime nothing wrong with some suran wrap and a rubber band to keep anything from creeping in....Just a giant tea bag and sugar (hold on ladydi :o)
I ran out of Stevia and didn't feel up to the trip to the health store.
It won't hurt to have a cup in that large jar..and add some Equal to my taste..I like things sweet.
I thought what a surprise to find a jar that's a 110 year old celebration, Who knows it might be worth a few bucks one day :o) Glad I didn't keep my nose up in the air and looked pass the dirt. I'm certainly not Mr. Cleans wife :o) but I am a lucky thrift shopper :o) anyone jealous. hehehe.
That's really cool that it is a centennial jar, Ginny. You are quite the treasure finder. :)
ReplyDeleteDaisy, I complained some time ago of never finding canning jars while everyone else was finding them left and right...since I complained about it, I've found a good amount three times :o) ...Maybe I should complain about not winning the picket :o) Cecil says " you have to be in it to win it and I'm too cheap" :o( Ginny
ReplyDeleteWhat size lid do you need? David uses some protein powder that comes in large plastic jars - I can save a lid for you.
ReplyDeleteLadydi, I'll measure and also mark it's true size and send it to you..hope you have one..Ginny
ReplyDeleteI hope so too!
ReplyDeleteI have a centennial jar with a lid in great condition if anyone wants it!
