Strawberry time again :o)
There is nothing like a bowl of fresh strawberries in a bowl of fresh heavy cream :o) even if your diabetic :o( Ginny says "go for it" :o) and wash the floor run down the block do something that causes you to expend energy (except wash dishes). This is a great time of year! Fresh Market had these today marked 1/4 flat (how much is that? it looked like 4 pints , three were together and one scattered above the three to look like a lot..(marketing strategy :o( they were delicious.. I'm not able to do much picking so it was okay. I expect others to have sales..maybe Cecil and I will find that Blueberry farm and go picking ..I love blueberry pie..
I love strawberries, Ginny, and blueberries, too. Those look good. Strawberry season up here is usually not till June.
ReplyDeleteDaisy, I think these might have been imported! you can't tell where things are from unless you grew them:o) I need more land to grow everything this heart desires :o)..we have eaten almost half already :o) that means I have to get more ...
ReplyDeleteLucky you!!! It will be awhile until it is strawberry season here. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteSo delicious! Our strawberry patch has just turned white with blooms this week. We'll have to wait a while yet. Enjoy your harvest.
ReplyDeleteOh, Ginny, it's not nice to make Granny drool all down the front of her shirt! Now I have to go change ;-)
ReplyDeleteRobin, honest they were the best tasting strawberries I've had in quite a while ..I had seconds and my B/S will be high in the am, but at least I enjoyed them :o)
ReplyDeleteJody your the lucky one with your own Berry patch! I had to buy these, at least they are tasty. Sometimes you have to do the best you can.
Annie's Granny, to be honest I had already spilled crap on my shirt so more didn't matter :o) ..Seems I'm missing my mouth here lately with age :o)
We are at the end of our strawberry season did not make much Jam this year i know I will regret it
ReplyDeleteI love strawberries and blueberries, also, however, I love blackberry desserts even more! Enjoy yourself Ginny and stay safe from those storms! blessings,Kathleen

ReplyDeleteyou already regret it :o( and probably this year you will crave it even more ..maybe another farmer wants to let go some of his..
Kathleen I love Blackberrys too! Cecil doesn't know it but that's already in my plans .:o)
Oh, yes! We found lovely berries at the store (not locally grown, but still very tasty) and have had strawberry shortcake twice already.
