Harvest for Monday

I don't have much to show for "Harvest Monday" especially since I worked on it yesterday. Nothing appears like magic, there is always work involved that is not seen.
I'm hoping to get better at this movie taking ...a few points to remember is always necessary when doing it..

I'm glad that I dried the Thyme, I think it flavors a lot of dishes for the best and hopefully I'l have enough to last until Spring and growing season again.. Next I have some Sage, Basil, and mints to dry...A little at a time gets it done. Hope the video of the Kraut making loads ..it's taking a long time to upload, hope it's good.

  2. Mrs. Pickles, good for you having a cabbage harvest.
Some say cabbage is cheap enough not to save,(not any more ) for me it's less gas going to the freezer..than going to the store.
Just blanch them..then cool in cold water drain, bag them up and freeze..I do quart bags (1 lb.)

  4. You are getting pretty good with your videos Ginny. I have yet to post a video. I'm with you regarding the kraut....I like to do it the old-fashioned way!

  5. Ginny, you've got quite a lot of tomatoes there. That's a big windowsill! :-)

  6. Mama-Bug, you'll be busy again soon enough :o)

Robin, thanks Robin (even though I had to do one over o) I did't know if the jar bit was old fashioned, thought I'd give it a try..it's more trouble for me that way..I'd rather put it all in the crock and know when it's ready at once and do it all..

Daisy, l wish I had more to make some good thick sauce, maybe I'll end up at the Farmers Market for them.. I always said you were a lady of good hearing :o)

  11. How nice to hear your voice. Thanks for posting videos. Our kraut has been fermenting for about 5 weeks. Do you think it's time to do the hot water bath?
