I hate to tell you how greedy we have been this year for corn :o( This is our THIRD bushel ..We bought one Silver King and One that we forgot the name but they both were small kernels and delicious..we had eaten a bushel so far and knew it wouldn't be enough for winter so we went and this looked good, but the kernels were to large for our taste so I decided to put it into jars for creamed corn which we like very much. :o)

We had a good system going, Cecil shucked it outside under the tree for shade and the bugs didn't bother him, I cut it off the cob inside using a baking pan with the hole in the center and the corn fell around it (and some went onto the floor :o( but all together it was a good system , the only thing is the long time in the pressure cooker 1 1/2 hours, but now it's done :o) and I feel good looking at it.

  12. 1st man,
remember you have to pressure can the corn
if you want to save it in jars..if you want to freeze that's a different way (blanch, cool, freeze:o)..don't get mixed up.
