Butterfish defrosting for breakfast

Most times at night I think of what's for breakfast! When you have prepared as many breakfast as I have sometimes you run out of idea's....and that's when you let your stomach dictate :o)....The News kept repeating the weather would be cold....and that means "stay in"..and "eat well" :o)....Too cold to fry the fish outside..so next thing is cook it inside..(we didn't want any bacon or homemade sausage today). So on with preparing fish and Grits inside...
The butter fish is a breeze to clean....no scales :o) just take them out of the freezer and let it soak in cold water for about 15-20 minutes...they defrost pretty quickly...I thought I'd give you all a good breakfast before the day went on :o)

I love your cooking. I could get into fish for breakfast. Wish my husband liked fish.

Hee hee, what's for breakfast at our house is cereal or a bagel. I still can hardly believe you COOK three meals a day. Good for you!

Deborah, if you cook it often enough he will soon get used to it,and ask for it. Cecil didn't eat grits when we were first married, I couldn't believe it..him being a Southerner...
Ladydi, Cecil eats Cereal when I'm lazy or he needs it...I love Bagel with lox (smoked fish) for a quick breakfast. Ginny

Ginny's cooking again. Ginny, do you ever use a microwave? That's where a lot of my cooking gets done. It seems like you make everything from scratch. Cecil is one lucky guy to have you making his meals for him.

Each time I prepare him a delicious meal , I tell him "don't forget to leave a tip" I believe I would get a big one for the enjoyment of the meal he gets :o)Ginny
