What's old is new again!

The other day, Cecil bought a bag of decaffeinated coffee, and at the time didn't realize they were coffee beans!..We fretted for a minute, until I remembered and old coffee grinder I had on the Hoosier cabinet that I removed when we were moving here and had not replaced it back...I just knew I hadn't thrown it away...(not one of my favorite antiques), I quickly searched my mind file and remembered that it was on the shelf in the Laundry room..possibly at the bottom...two minutes later...Cecil emerged with it....was I some kind of glad...showed me that Alzheimer hadn't set in yet!...The mind was still good :o) the mind is still good!

The top picture shows I'm holding it up so you can see how it's to fit back on the Hoosier..just have to put holes on the other side of the Hoosier so the handle can be turned.
Maybe one of these days I'll find a new coffee grinder at Goodwill :o)

Ginny, that coffee grinder looks like a treasure! Good thing you didn't throw it away. I've done the same thing...come home with a bag of beans..and just went back to the store, told the manager what happened and then used their grinder. I'm sure it happens a lot.

Did I tell you that, just for fun, I looked up one of my old Griswald iron fry pans and found out it was worth $75.00???? I'll check the rest of them, one of these days.

Guess we need to make a list of all the things our kids might send to Goodwill that are really treasures.

Mmmm. . . nothing smells better than freshly ground coffee. Next thing you know, Cecil will be buying the beans on purpose to grind at home.

Cecil does a lot of shopping in one store particularly (he knows where everything is, and he is a pain in the butt if they move something to another place, they spoil him something terrible when he comes in.when they ask me how I tolerate him I merely say "I beat him" :o), and then they are happy and says he deserves it :o), I have to always say "What did you move" :o) Everyone enjoys the joke.

Isn't it funny how we keep things around thinking we just might use it one day, and then one day we do!

Of course, I have a lot of stuff hanging around that I think some day I'll use again that I bet won't really get used after all. ha ha! :D
