"A Hint of What makes my Garden Grow"

You know how you feel every time you get all that junk mail !! Well, remember that old saying "If life gives you lemons make lemonade"! That's exactly what I did with all that junk mail I'm always receiving (every day) ..it is so annoying...I found something good to do with it...
I shred everyone of them and put them into a bag when my shredder is full...then Cecil takes the bags and puts them in the shed...when fall comes he will put the shredded paper and the leaves and the left over garden waste and turns it all over in the garden."Compost"..last year he added some cow manure and the deer came looking for food...they ate some branches off the Apple tree...This year he will do it in the fall when there is nothing for them to nibble on...As you can see the Garden did very well this year...and over near the trees when grass wouldn't even grow..it is very fruitful there with the squash...We didn't plant Zucchini just squash and cucumbers there...and a few pepper plants on that side too.

What a great way to reuse and recycle and help your garden grow better at the same time, Ginny. You and Cecil are clever farmers. :D

I didn't know you could add shredded paper to the compost pile. We've composted for years, and now we have something new to try. Thanks for the good idea!
