"The makings of Gravlax"

Just a few more pounds to gain and I'll be back at the weight I lost being ill :o(
I tell you it piles on quicker after you lose than if you just kept eating :o)
At this stage I'm not going to fret...just eat in moderation what I like..and I like Gravlax...(on a bagel.cracker or rye bread spread with cream cheese, a slice of onion, and topped with Lox (gravlax) :o)...makes me happy just thinking about it :o).
There is a lot of seasoning in between the two slices of of the fish, that's what makes it sweat and pour it's sweat back on it and then so delicious...one or two more days and I'll be able to feast on it for weeks :o)...Cecil doesn't care for it :o) I'm so sorry! hehehe (don't have to worry about eating that one fast :o)

I'm with Cecil in that I'm not a big fan of fish, Ginny, but I'm sure you'll enjoy it just the same! Fish is probably a good healthy thing for you to eat, I would think! :)

Daisy,I had a laugh..I had three nice size salmon...it two to make the gravlax recipe..the other I made for dinner...You would never know that he was afraid to eat it for fear of having a gout attack, since he ate two large pieces and was smacking his lips and telling me how tasty they were :o)...I was happy to get a second small piece
:o)...Ginny

I love fish, but I've never heard of Graviax before.

I don't think it's salmon that causes gout. :>} The day after Thanksgiving we had no less than five patients come in to the doctors' office with that very complaint. The docs say it's rich eating in general that causes uric acid to accumulate in the joints.
Cecil can enjoy his salmon with a clear conscience!

Ladydi, Your Dr. gets his knowledge from good books, but the knowledge of Salmon related to gout is as old as the hills.with some groups,.maybe it's said so much it has become truth :o)...
Deborah, I'll send you the recipe, from my knowledge you can only make it with Salmon.
Daisy, the less you like fish the more for me :o)...Ginny
