My New Kodak Printer

I thought I'd take a break from cooking :o) and show off my new Kodak Printer :o)...I kind of worried about getting this one compared to all the others on the market..but since I had good luck with the camera ( I still love the Camera) I thought I'd try their other product  "My Printer"... What got me was the ink feature, (costing less in the long run that the others) although I liked  My HP brand very much..buying the ink like to drive me crazy, it would really screw up my budget and then by the time they were ready to show a new model, I was out of luck, it got to where I couldn't even find it, mine was too old (but a goodie). Yesterday while printing my millionth copy of a recipe I didn't need, I jammed up the printer with paper..well my heart gave a quick gasp! Oh No! , Read the D*** book, I did , got a chair sat down to be comfortable to give it a fight , looking in the back ( as directed by the book) and I'll be darned there was the arrow to remove the back and unjam the paper..well, I never...found it so easy to do..it's my hero. I can make it "Wireless", but that's for another day, or until my Son visits.

How wonderful! Have fun printing away! By the way, your pound cake looks just scrumptious! I have tried several different recipes for pound cake, but they always turn out too heavy and not so good. It's so frustraiting since it takes so many ingredients to make one. Any hints? Blessings,Kathleen

Hey Kathleen,I agree about Pound Cakes sometimes being heavy...One thing I do regardless of the recipe or cake I'm making ...Is I whip the egg whites separate and fold them in> it makes a world of a difference..I have a recipe that I've used for years and just got out of the habit I'm going to find it and go back to it and post the recipe when I do...

ENjoy your new printer, Ginny. I had read that the Kodak inks cost less than HP, but my printer is an HP...maybe next one will be a Kodak, but then I am not hoping soon as this one is under a year old.

Oh, Ginny, I hope you have better luck with your new Kodak printer than I had with mine! Mine worked great on the original ink cartridges, but when it was time to replace them, it would not recognize them as being installed! I bought two more new ones, thinking the first ones may have been defective....nope, it wouldn't recognize those, either. Reading about the experiences of others, I found it was a common problem with these printers. Of course, my sales receipt was in WA, and I was in AZ. By the time I got back home, the year's warranty had expired. I bought another HP. Kodak ink isn't cheap if the printer won't work :-(

BTW, I LOVE my Kodak EasyShare camera! It's been a real work horse, still going strong after thousands of photos.

Hi Annie, I hope I have better luck with ink when the time comes...I do a lot of printing..(things I just have to have :o). I was especially blessed when I got my camera the young lady at Wal-mart's (Alice) assisted me when I was purchasing and didn't know a thing about camera's. She got down on her knees and went way in the back of the cabinet and pulled out what she thought would be good and easy for me to handle. She was right and I Bless her for her time...Ginny

LOL, Miss Ginny! My dad always said, "When all else fails, read the directions!"

We love our Kodak EasyShare camera, too! Larry and I bought it for each other for our anniversary in 2007 and it has served us ever so well. At the time I had no idea how much I would be using it. Who knew I would be taking pictures of safety pins and partly finished knitting projects??

My camera ended up giving more than I expected. Sure, I knew pictures would explain what my tongue could not..and in better detail..but I didn't expect to reap such joy from it...I guess Kodak should give us a discount for all this good praise for their product..:o) or just send me a check! :o) or some free ink!
