Cecil on the ladder to reach the top

Seems that most of the Pears like to grow at the very top of the Pear Tree....and you need a ladder to reach there ..even though it's a "Dwarf Pear Tree" it's pretty high up...Cecil isn't afraid of height's , good thing he's not ...I'd have to shake the tree and probably bruise the pears in doing so....

Oh, those pears looks wonderful. (So does the breakfast! I'm hungry!) I look forward to the day when I have pears on my tree, although from my experience so far it will be difficult to save them from the squirrels. Pears are my favorite fruits, and my maiden name, "Parham," means "lives in a pear orchard." Or something like that!

Laurie, we had to leave a chair near the tree to discourage the deer from coming back, they were the first to break a branch. I would have gladly shared some pears by the time the peeling was midway :o)...I'll remember that you like them next year ..Ginny B.

I love pears. I would like to have pear trees along with apple trees when I get the grounds ready. Have a wonderful weekend, blessings, Kathleen
