"A Pleasant Surprise :o)"

Taking a short walk to the garden just for the sake of a short walk...what did I see ..a nice patch of green ..and I had a moment of rejoicing...
Cecil had taken up the potatoes and just "sowed" a little bit of the seeds just to see if something would become of them..well,like they say nothing beats a failure but a try...and it's very encouraging to see we could grow Broccoli Robe here in NC...Hopefully we can have more space next year to have plenty...the little that I bought didn't do well freezing...so I will have to pick and eat them as they grow...guess I can manage that :o)...

What a nice surprise! Picking and eating it as it grows sounds like a good plan to me. Fresh from the garden is how it usually tastes best to me anyway. :)

Daisy, I won't have to be forced to eat them :o)...probably eat them while they are trying to grow bigger will be the problem :o)

Hi sweet Ginny! Good that you got to go out for a short walk. I thought about you today, the farmers are out in the back field getting all of the cotton harvested. Take good care of yourself. blessings,Kathleen

Leave it to you to have a garden growing when you aren't up for gardening!

I do love that expression; "nothing beats a failure but a try". I had never heard it before. Good for you and Cecil for getting some more greens going this late in the season. I'm glad you're able to get out and enjoy a nice walk on these pretty days.

Kathleen, I'm sick I can't beg for some cotton,but I haven't spun up last years..I'm way behind..
Deborah, thank God I can bend a little to pluck them out of the ground ..Cecil can't..
Ladydi, I've got a number of expressions, stay tuned for more :o)
