Persimmon Harvest"

Well this years Harvest was a few less than last this year ( I didn't count how many I ate straight from the tree :o)  Any hoo, I'll put these up in the freezer in "Pulp Stage" and take them out at random for pies or puddings ...I found a great source on the internet on how I can use them for different things,  Jams and Preserves. I'm still too busy to fool with them now.

Dorothy, I'm sorry about that...if I'm not mistaken it's best to plant new ones in the fall..This would be a good time to replace it ...Call the Nurserys to locate one..Ginny

Ginny, I'm set on go to make persimmon jam in the morning! I prepared the persimmon pulp a little while ago so I wouldn't have so much to do tomorrow. Let you know how it turns out.

Mama-Bug, good for you. I plan to work with mine sometime before the weekend..I think I'll just do pulp and freeze.The greens in the garden are growing like they are weeds :o) (more jars to put up).:o) So I know I'll be busy as all get out and no time to make cake etc.
thank goodness I found more jars. Don't forget to let me know how it goes.. Ginny

Well for Heaven's sake, after all this I may have to give persimmons another try. I thought the one bite I had put me off for life. You make them sound like something special!

Ladlydi, they are special and you will require a taste for them and be planting a tree yourself :o)make sure it
