Fish Fry

Today was a good "Fish Fry" Day :o) , First cousin came over with lots of good fresh fish from the market and we had a "Double Whammy" of a fish fry..we first had fried fish for Lunch..watched on the computer where I had loads of DVD's full of family pictures and events...first time Cecil decided to stay and see them, he usually runs away...but this time he stayed and seemed to enjoy himself and would say "I didn't know you had that picture or I didn't remember this or that...we had a good family time with laughs and jokes about everything.. This is half the fish that was left from Lunch the other half is in the frying pan and we will have it for Dinner after 3 hours of gabbing. The rest goes into the freezer for another day. First cousin has my recipe so now she thinks she is as smart as me...I needed to rest so I let her have the crown for now.

Mmmm. That fish looks so good. When I was a kid we had family movie night. Those were good times.

Your fish looks really good, Ginny, and that sounds like a great fun family day you had. I love days like that, reminiscing and sharing memories. :-)

Jody, the fish was good and we had family movie nights also, then we didn't realize what fun memories we were making :o)

Daisy, that reminiscing is loads of laughs , the clothes, the styes you thought you were hot stuff in :o).

Mrs. Pickels, wish I could go fresh fishing..but the fish market we have is pretty good even if we have to travel about 30 miles :o(.

Robin, it was a good day and the fish topped it off.

Your fish looks delicious! I'm loving your cast iron skillet. Sharing memories with family is always good. Sharing memories with family topped with good food is even better.

I could eat fried fish anytime of the day. One of my favorite breakfasts is fried mullet and cheese grits!

Mama Bug,
fish and grits for breakfast out on the Patio is one of my favorite times...here lately I cook fish outside and bring it into the house to eat..don't like sharing it with the flies that seem to find me!

I like your outdoor cookstove! It's a shame to heat up the house in the summer - you've got a great system.

Ladydi, cooking outside on the grill also saves the fish smell out of the house..here in NC the weather often permits that I can cook fish just about all year outside on the grill :o)

Oh Ginny, this brings back so many memories when as a child, I would sit with my aunt until 3 in the morning fishing on her fishing dock with her. We would catch gigantic carp, just for the fun of catching them, and I would refuse to go to sleep until I hooked myself one! LOL. We caught other fish and had the biggest family fish fry ever! Also, your tomaoto breakfast looks wonderful in your previous post. blessings,Kathleen
